Narval - discreet, comfortable, effective
Narval CC® is discreet and comfortable. It uses technology that has been developed and refined over a decade. It is recognised as a well tolerated appliance that provides a highly effective therapy for sleep apnoea and snoring. Over the years we've advanced the kinetics, ergonomics and materials used to create what we believe is the most effective and least intrusive appliance available.
A unique product
Our research has developed a unique product. Instead of pushing the lower jaw forward, Narval CC® holds it in forward position, minimising joint-stress and limiting the risk of dental side-effects.
Greater comfort and flexibility
This design also means we're able to use semi-rigid plastic materials which allow for great flexibility in the mouth and are much more comfortable.
Slim design
One of the smallest oral appliances available, Narval CC® means less impact in your mouth, making it even more comfortable and easier to sleep with.
Adjustable
Once you've become used to wearing a Narval CC®, the appliance can be gradually adjusted to increase the effect with minimal impact on the level of comfort. With one of the widest adjustment ranges available, Narval CC can be fine-tuned to your condition.
Less stress on front teeth
By using the more stable back teeth for support, Narval CC® avoids putting stress on the front teeth. This makes the appliance more suitable for overnight use and avoid users waking up with pain in their front teeth.

Immediate results
A clinical study by Vecchierini (2008) measured the effect of treatment. The results showed:
- 94% of patients had high rates of compliance within six weeks
- Rapid and significant improvement in sleepiness and quality of life and sleep quality.
Patients also reported improved social interactions, mental-health and decreases in daytime dysfunction.
Longer term results
A study by Geraads and the General Hospital Pneumologists College (2010) studied effectiveness and tolerance after a year of treatment. The results showed:
- The treatment was effective even for patients with severe OSA
- Significant improvements in sleepiness and fatigue
- Only 6% of patients dropped out of treatment because of tolerance issues
Comparison with leading competitor
Cheze (2007) carried out a biomechanics study comparing Narval CC® with a leading competitor in terms of mouth opening and pressure on the jaw joint . The results showed:
- The Narval retained the lower jaw in a forward position and encouraged the mouth to close
- Consistently lower pressure on the jaw joint
